In this article, the authors explain how partnering to teach information literacy empowers students toward autonomy as they become active participants in the learning process. The authors’ reflections align with Hills and Watson’s (2011) three major elements of caring relationships–collaboration, power/empowerment, and participation–which are used as a framework to demonstrate this partnership. %I University of Illinois at Chicago
