Designing a patch array antenna with circular polarization and high self-interference cancellation (SIC) remains a challenge for in-band full-duplex wireless communication systems. Therefore, this paper explores counteracting modes to enhance self-interference cancellation in circularly polarized patch array antennas. The structure consists of two receiving (Rx) antennas and one transmitting (Tx) antenna, with the distance between the elements of the array less than λ0/10. Using this technique, our simulation results show the SIC can reach a maximum of 60 dB at approximately 4.7 GHz and 50 dB over a bandwidth of 100 MHz. As a result, this technique should be a good candidate for in-band full-duplex communication systems.
