"I am researching how we choose moment-by-moment to live our lives. Curriculum is an act of selecting “what's worthwhile”. We continuously make this selection simply by living. I look for the questions we are living the answers to, the theory within our daily lives. The maintenance and modification of our lives is not only a subject of research, it is a medium of research. This image represents one of many interventions and sustainments. I left the dog in the house, stomped out to the backyard, and scuffed my boots in the snow to create a message readable from our house window. At the bottom of the “y” I took a series of photographs. These were stitched together into a Mercator projection using a panorama program called Hugin. This image is representative of my research in method as well as content. It places me within my own text. It is composed of various frames. It is incomplete. It is temporary. It is time and site specific. It is distorted in a way that foregrounds what it is closer to me. It calls attention to its means of construction."
