Bio-design includes patterns and shapes of natural elements. Patterns generate a continuous stream of objects from nature to depict the process for visualizing the whole integration of design work; whereas, shapes create a connected flow of visual information to impose relevant elements of objects for delivering design's message. In Biomimics, I try to incorporate bio-design into my graphic design work by presenting sentences that contain five ligatures (fi, ff, fl, ffi, ffl) in an organic layout. In facts, some overlapping shapes, which are filled with images of natural elements, are originated from the counters of the five ligatures' letterform. Natural images integrated into the shapes provoke one's warm feeling from nature as if s/he can explore details of it through those small shaped windows. The poster wishes to enhance natural affinity and attraction to people and evoke their resonance with and appreciation of nature.
