By centering the leadership of Jean Blackwell Hutson during her tenure at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, this article offers a glimpse into the unique features of Black women’s approach to leadership inthelibraryand archivesprofessions.Specific biographical moments were selected in order to analyze them through the conceptual lens of intersecting oppressions that Black women in leadership or management positions may experience.
