Barabanova<p>Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) can require large volumes of blood products. Identifying patients unlikely to need platelet transfusion would conserve inventory. This study demonstrates that pre-operative thromboelastography (TEG) predicts which patients will not need platelet transfusion.</p>
