This paper will consider two books as case studies: the 2020 US edition of Asterix the Gladiator: Album 4 by Rene Goscinny
[Goo-sinny] and Albert Uderzo [Oo-der-zoo] and the 2014 edition of Alfred J. Church’s Stories of the East from Herodotus published by Sandycroft publishing. These two volumes take opposite approaches to the problem.
