Powell, Julien LeiderThis brief summarizes the results of four studies which used Nielsen retail scanner data to analyze the impact of the Seattle SBT on beverage prices and volume sold, substitution to untaxed beverages, sweets, and salty snacks, and net changes in grams of sugar sold from taxed beverages up to twoyears post-tax, based on difference-in-differences analyses with Portland, Oregon, as a comparison site.
