This project aims to create an infrastructure that will enable University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) researchers to study longer-term, cumulative neighborhood exposures and how they might impact cancer risk, the continuum of care, and survival. We are using this approach to define cumulative, long-term measures of residential proximity to higher and lower quality food sources ("food access"); to our knowledge, this approach to studying long-term food access with cancer and survival has not previously been done.
