This thesis describes the development of novel transition-metal-catalyzed processes for the synthesis of dihydrobenzosiloles and fused heteroaromatic dihydrosiloles starting from aromatic- and heteroaromatic styrenes. It also includes the development of a Brønsted acid-catalyzed protocol for the synthesis of indoles via recyclization reaction of ortho-aminobenzyl alcohols and furans, as well as the development of a new reactivity mode of diazocompounds: 1,3-aminoalkylation reaction of beta-amino-alpha-diazoesters towards triazolines.
