Arbiter-based Physical Unclonable Function (APUF) is a design consisting of MUXes and a DFF used to benefit from manufacturing inconsistency to generate unique fingerprints for Integrated circuits that are unclonable. This paper proves the concept and design of APUF by using Vivado software to implement the hardware design and flash it into an FPGA and demonstrate how the APUF gives a unique fingerprint depending on the location of the design on the FPGA.
